South Boulder Creek parkrun is holding its first New Year's Day parkrun on Jan 1st 2020 at 10am. Join us to shake off the excesses of the previous night and welcome in the New Year at East Boulder Community Center.
Following the snow storm this week the paths we use for parkrun are still far too icy for the event to go ahead so we've taken the decision to cancel for November 30th.
There are also high winds forecast Friday night into Saturday morning and we do not want anyone to put themselves at risk traveling to / from the event.
Hopefully things will be back to normal for December 7th.
Unfortunately, due to the adverse weather conditions, we are cancelling the South Boulder Creek parkrun planned for Saturday, January 12.
Boulder got about 4 inches of wet and slushy snow today which is unheard of in January in Colorado.
As you may know, we can handle the snow in Colorado - for our inaugural run last February we had about 6 inches (of powder). We will have freezing conditions overnight and the problem for tomorrow is that the concrete path of our 1st KM is now an ice rink and too risky to send out even the toughest parkrunners. We need you for the upcoming parkruns so your safety is our top priority.
Hoping to see you for parkrun # 47 which will now be on January 19.
Unfortunately South Boulder Creek will not be organizing a Thanksgiving parkrun this year.
