Please let us know the first name that you most commonly go by.
Note 1: The names you provide here are what will be shown on our results pages (and we always capitalise last names). For example if you register with First Names "John P" and Last Name "McIntosh" you will be listed in our results as "John P MCINTOSH".
Note 2: You do not have to provide all your first names (if you have more than one), but please remember that there are many hundreds of thousands of runners registered with parkrun, and (particularly if you have a popular name), you may find it easier to find your results if you provide all your first names (or at least a middle initial).
Please enter your full family name.
Please see the Note under First Name.
We ask all runners where their home run is, because we like to know where our new runners are likely to be each week, and it also helps us to identify you. But you can still run at whichever event you want, whenever you want.
Along with Date of Birth, we ask for your gender to categorise our results correctly (by gender and age). We also use it to give you your Age Grade calculation (described in more detail on the advice page).
Along with Gender, we ask for your date of birth to categorise our results correctly (by gender and age). We also use it to give you your Age Grade calculation (described in more detail on the advice page). We often also use date of birth to help identify our runners.
Runners must have reached their 4th birthday by the day of registration.
We ask everybody for their running club so we can compile results lists for all the clubs represented at our events each week. If your club is not listed please get in touch - although it's often worth checking alternative versions of your club name first. If you don't belong to a club or rather wouldn't say please leave it set to 'unattached'.
We send all runners a confirmation that their registration has been successful by email. We also send results confirmation through to each runner when they run. We also very occasionally get in touch with runners by email if we have a query about the results. We also send out a regular newsletter about parkrun, although you are able to opt out of this now or at any point in the future.
Important note to BTInternet / Yahoo email address holders: We find it difficult to send mails to addresses with these services. Please make sure that you have added the firstname.lastname@example.org address to your trusted sites list (sorry, but we can't offer technical support with that) before registering. Alternatively, and probably easier, try an email account with a different provider.
The commonest reason by far, that people fail to get their confirmation email, is that they have mis-typed their address. We ask you to confirm your email address here, in an attempt to spot this problem now rather than later.
We ask you to provide your postcode/zip code here, if applicable to your locale. This isn't currently used for anything, however we may in future use it to (for example) target emails or texts about cancellation of events within a certain radius of your postcode. Of course we would always respect opt-outs (see next item below) for these services, should they be implemented at some point.
Let us know if you would like to receive news, offers and updates straight from parkrun HQ. This is the best way to stay in touch with things like milestone t-shirts, event profiles, offers, competitions and promotions from our partners, training tips and more, and helps support our free, forever, for everyone, principle.
We ask how often you have done some exercise in the last month, because it helps us with councils and other organisations when we are trying to launch new events and get funding to support our existing events around the country. We only share total numbers with external organisations - not the details of individuals, but if you would still rather not give us this information, that's fine; just set the drop down box to "Rather not say / Don't know".
Please give us the name of somebody we should get in contact with in case of emergency- please also fill in their contact number as below. While we recommend that all parkrunners fill in this information, it is compulsory for those aged under 15 (they should include the name of their parent or guardian).

If you have any medical conditions that you feel might impact your participation in our events, be that as a walker, runner, or volunteer, and would like to share them with us then please list them here. In the event of an incident we can make this information available to first-aiders, and we may also use this information to signpost participants toward internal projects designed to support participation. While we recommend that all parkrunners fill in this information, it is compulsory for those aged under 15.
It is a condition of taking part in parkrun that you accept our terms and conditions. Please take a few minutes to read through the terms and signal your acceptance by checking the box.
Before moving on, please take a few seconds to check all the details entered; in particular your date of birth, gender and email address. Once happy, press the 'check form' button to continue. If anything is wrong, the appropriate item will be indicated with red text; you will need to correct this before carrying on.
After pressing the 'Check Form' button, provided all information has been entered correctly, you should see the confirm details page that just shows a confirmation of what was entered. Please check the details carefully before pressing the 'Register Me' button. If you need to correct anything, just press the 'Edit Details' button; this will take you back to the registration page where you will be able to change your entered details.
You’ll be sent an email confirming your registration. Please read this carefully as it contains lots of important information. If you don’t get an email within a few hours of registering, check out the advice page for more information.
If there are any problems, you will be told what the issue is, and how to fix it.
