What a difference the weather makes for Perrigo Park Run. Last week for our ninth event we had our first major rain and the attendance reflected that. Fast forward to the 10th event with drier weather and our attendance soared! We had 73 people participate including a record number of bark runners, I did not take a good count of the bark runners but there had to of been at least seven enthusiastic, leash pulling let’s get going barkers. Always a joy to see.
We had 19 first timers this week including two of my dear friends from high school Kim and Alan Morris. One of our first timers, Premalatha Grandhi volunteered for tail walker hocool is that? Thank you Premalatha!!
Thank you to our nine volunteers without volunteers we don’t have an event. We do hope to get more people to volunteer and if you are interested please talk to the event run director to get signed up. All positions are very easy and can be explained on the day of the event.
As summer ends and fall begins we hope people prepare for Pacific Northwest rain and continue to join us each week a bit of rain just makes for a more interesting event.
