I'll start this week with a serious outbreak of morale amongst the volunteers - if you fancy getting in on the action, then ask one of our high-vis vest heroes and we'll find a role that works for you...
we were blessed with a respite from the heat which allowed 14 of our 60 participants this week to record a personal best time - well done all!
A special shout out to Scott who celebrated his 50th parkrun this week - fantastic achievement Scott and we look forward to seeing you in your shiny new red t-shirt very shortly!
We also welcomed 11 first timers this week, including Gareth who came in first with an impressive time of 16.51!
It's not all about the time though as we welcome all abilities and all ages - you can set your own goals and the parkrun community will help you to achieve those!
Noting the hot weather, next week we're going to try for a timely 0900 start, so please be prepared to head down for a short brief at 0855 - bring water, sunscreen and take account of the heat when setting your pace.
I started with the volunteers, so I'll end on that theme as well - a huge thanks to Sol as Run Director along with her team: Dan, Michael, Alice, Evan, Terri, Terry, Neil, Maria, Katherine & Sarah. See you next week for a 0900 start! Matt
