Fletcher’s Cove Parkrun #212 – Run Report

7th March 2020

It was a beautiful, sunny and a bit cold parkrun last Saturday, celebrating International Women's Day.  Many were dressed in their purple jumpers and we even had purple cookies at the finish line, courtesy of Nancy Edson!  We had 90 people joining in the fun and a special welcome from the Ward 3 Councilmember Mary Cheh, who was instrumental in starting up parkrun at Fletcher’s Cove. Thank you, Mary!!!!

We had an excellent turnout of humans and dogs to enjoy the course either running, walking or jogging.   A big Fletcher’s Cove welcome to the 8 first timers and well done to those who recorded new Personal Bests.

Congratulations to Nina!  We also had an Olympian amongst the participants. There were 2 milestones – congratulations Roberta Gatti who completed her 50th parkrun and David Scarnato who completed his 100th!!!!, we look forward to viewing your congratulatory parkrun t-shirts!
