Fletcher’s Cove parkrun #205 Run Report

1A dusting of snow and a forecast of some unpleasant weather did not deter 43 runners, joggers, walkers and barkrunners from coming down to Fletcher’s Cove to complete run number 205.

The field consisted of 16 females and 27 males. We were joined by 5 first timers to Fletcher’s Cove and 6 participants managed to warm up enough to record a Personal Best. The full set of results can be found at https://www.parkrun.us/fletcherscove/results/latestresults/

As always, this weekly, free, timed run is made possible by our roster of volunteers. Thanks goes out to Michael B, Oya C, Matt C, Terence D, Andres F, Ana Paula F.L., Anuka G-A, Maria G, Scott M, Martha N, Kai O, Dan O, Matt P, Linda R and Terri S for making sure we enjoyed a wonderful morning along the C&O canal. All volunteer roles require no previous experience and expert on the spot training is provided to all first time volunteers. Everyone is encouraged to take up the challenge and volunteer at least once. Signing up for volunteer roles can be done on our volunteer roster white board on Saturday mornings or responding to the volunteer appeal emails sent out once a week.

The forecast for this upcoming Saturday suggests we might have a few puddles, but Fletcher’s Cove parkrun will definitely continue come rain, sunshine or a dusting of snow.
