The second park run of the week, and the year, saw 72 people run, jog and walk the towpath on an unseasonably warm but foggy and damp day. Luckily there were plenty of bright volunteer jackets to guide parkrunners to the finish.
We welcomed 5 first timers and 5 people recorded new Personal Bests.
26 people were running at Fletcher’s Cove for the second time in a week, making the most of the midweek New Year’s Day parkrun. If you missed the opportunity, mark your calendars for next year!
There has been a steady stream of milestone achievements over recent weeks and event #203 was Terry Dunbar’s turn to model the red 50 sash. Congratulations Terry and we look forward to seeing you in your red 50 shirt soon.
Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Fletcher’s Cove parkrun Results Page.
As always a big thank you to the 11 volunteers who helped to make the event possible:
Dan OWEN • Rodger POTOCKI • Nancy EDSON • Michal KISILEVITZ • Kai OLTMANNS • Linda RAHAL • Matt CHURCHWARD • Edward KITT • Lucinda FLEESON • Peter PARIS • Maria GARCIA
If you would like to volunteer for future weeks, look out for the whiteboard on Saturday mornings (you can’t miss it!) or go to the volunteer roster page on the website (https://www.parkrun.us/fletcherscove/volunteer/). Have you made your New Year’s resolution yet..?
Fletcher’s Cove parkrun started on 9th January 2016. Since then 2,985 participants have completed 11,970 parkruns covering a total distance of 59,850 km, including 1,670 new Personal Bests. A total of 314 individuals have volunteered 1,886 times.
Saturday January 11th will see us mark our fourth birthday (look / listen out for celebration announcements!) and should see us break 60,000kms run and our 12,000th finisher! Now who will that be?!
Hopefully see you on Saturday.
